The restaurant was started of from a small shop where boys from the locality would come to play carom or drop in a soft drink.

As it gained popularity Mrs carfina started to serve traditional goa dishes. Mrs Carafina is been awarded The life time Achievement Award at the international cuisine conference held at hotel fidalgo-goa on sep.2007.
